It's Day 1

I finally discovered my true calling in life: writing. I am 46 years old, so I guess it's not too late, right?  I just noticed that Blogger.com only gives me 7 fonts to choose from. Really? It's 2014 - we can't have more than 7 fonts on here? Wow. Okay, moving on...

I just wanted to put a note here that today is Day 1 of my prestigious writing career. Wait... Let me take that back... Today is Day 1 of my writing career, even if it turns out not to be prestigious. I don't need money, fame, fortune, power and ego to do that for me. I'm all good inside, with who I am and where I'm going, even if I don't know exactly where I'm going. I do know what I'm going to write about though, and I don't even have to worry about who is going to publish me, because I am going to publish all my books myself. No, I'm not a crazytard. I found a web site that lets you publish your own content (provided you are smart enough to proof your work and lay out your content on your own, which I am), and has low prices, a low minimum and will put it out into 5 major retail online shopping outlets for you: Amazon, Barnes & Noble, iBooks, their own site, and your own site. You choose the type and size of book you want, the cover, everything... And it's done! I am so ready for this. The site is called Lulu.com

I am going to start with helping my mother who is a lifetime Asian Scholar and Researcher, world explorer and expert on Asian tribal minorities, publish her first book on Tibetan Buddhist Deities. Next will be a book on Prayer Flags. After that, we will publish her book on the nomads in Tibet (their culture, art and religion). And finally, a dozen other small books that she has in her brain. So although I will not be the actual author of these first few books, it will get me started on the editing and publishing process and then I will move on to write my own material. 

I will write erotic stories - - not something I wish to discuss with my mother! And I will finally publish that cook book that everyone's been bugging me to write. I have a few e-books in my head and other little projects that I would like to put on paper in bound, printed form. I love it that today is Day 1. It feels good :)
